How it all began…
in October 2020, I WAS INVITED ON MY FIRST BACKCOUNTRY BACKPACKING TRIP
We hiked a trail several miles into a remote canyon along the river, spending two days fly fishing and living off what gear we could carry in. I grew up enjoying the outdoors, but this was well beyond anything I'd experienced before.The challenges were made clear. Rain was constant, the temperature was never above the 40's, I was out of shape and barely knew how to fly fish.
Sounds miserable? WRONG!
The nature interaction was unbelievable. I was out of phone service. The preparations and physical challenges were eye opening and made incredibly clear. I left with a new perspective and found tremendous meaning.
Fast forward two years,
and after a multitude of research, adventures and self-discovery, it's become my aim to shape my life around the things that mean the most to me: Family, conservation, and community. This company is a personal experiment in stepping outside of the known and building life around things that give meaning.
